In my younger years, I was highly focussed on what I wanted to achieve. The positive of this meant that I quickly went through university and into a career.

On the flip side, it also meant that I hadn’t explored different areas of interest - certainly design and architecture had never factored into my life plan.

Later in life, I started working as a travel photographer and was exposed to world class architecture. I discovered that I had a real interest and passion for architecture. This coincided with a trip to Brasilia.

After 3 days in Brasilia photographing the mordernist works of Oscar Niemeyer, I made a decision right there - I’m going to dedicate my life to architectural photography.

So I credit Oscar Niemeyer as the inspiration for my career. Design makes life better.
